At the confluence of the Muskingum and the Ohio Rivers rests a historic town with memories along each bank. That history is honored once again this weekend with the historic Marietta Invitational Lindamood Cup hosted by the Harmar Rowing Club.

Ten teams bringing more than 400 athletes to the Broughton Boathouse will brave the elements and venture out onto the Muskingum River Saturday with the first race set to start at 10 a.m.

The Tiger Navy represents Marietta High School on the water and will face rivals in both the men's and women's events from Parkersburg High School and Parkersburg South. Additional teams traveling to the Mid-Ohio Valley include Fox Chapel Crew out of Aspinwall, Penn.; Grosse Ile Rowing Club out of Gross Ile, Mich.; Harpeth Hall Crew out of Nashville, Tenn.; Magnificat High School out Rocky River; Montgomery Bell Academy out of Nashville, Tenn.; North Catholic High School out of Cranberry Township, Penn.; and Saint Joseph Academy out of Cleveland.

This regatta is one of the oldest rowing events in Ohio and the 2022 season marks a 57-year legacy of rowing at Marietta High School.

Harmar Rowing Club thanks the City of Marietta's police and fire departments for partnering with us to ensure the safety of each athlete, volunteer and spectator joining us this weekend.

See the event map below for the best places to park, watch the races from both sides of the river and suggested photo decks on the bridges.
